Laser Offerings
EOS is one of the only practices in the state offering the Fotona LightWalker MAX — an advanced laser system that supports everything from precision soft-tissue surgery to implant care to non-surgical cosmetic treatments, all in a single platform. Unlike fixed-depth lasers, the LightWalker MAX allows Dr. Voegele and Dr. Lyu to adjust treatment depth session to session, from ultra-light applications with minimal downtime to deeper resurfacing, depending on what each patient needs.
Laser-assisted treatment often means less operating and post-operative pain, less bleeding and swelling, fewer sutures, improved visibility during procedures, and in many cases, no scalpel at all. Patients who’ve had deeper laser treatments elsewhere consistently report that this technology is more comfortable, with less lingering discomfort afterward.
Benefits
Less Pain, Less Anesthesia
Laser-assisted procedures reduce trauma to surrounding tissue, meaning less pain during and after treatment — and for many procedures, little to no anesthesia is needed at all.
Faster Healing
Reduced bleeding and swelling, combined with fewer sutures, allow most patients to heal and return to normal activity more quickly.
No Scalpel, No Stitches
For many soft-tissue procedures, laser treatment eliminates the need for a scalpel or sutures entirely, which patients consistently find reassuring.
Process
The Laser Treatment Process at EOS
Process
Because laser treatment supports such a wide range of procedures — from soft-tissue surgery to implant care to cosmetic treatments — your exact process will depend on what you’re being treated for. Your surgeon will walk you through the specifics at your consultation, but in general, treatment follows three phases:
Consultation and Planning
We’ll evaluate your needs and determine whether laser treatment is right for your procedure, then discuss what to expect, including depth of treatment, number of sessions (if applicable), and any preparation needed beforehand.
Treatment
Using the Fotona LightWalker MAX, your surgeon will perform your procedure with laser precision — adjusting depth and approach based on your specific treatment. Many patients require little to no anesthesia, and procedures are often faster and more comfortable than traditional methods.
Recovery
Recovery time varies by procedure, but laser-assisted treatment typically means less swelling, less bleeding, and a faster return to normal activity than traditional surgical methods. Your surgeon will provide specific aftercare instructions based on your treatment.
Frequently
Asked Questions
Still have questions? Contact us to learn more.
Is laser treatment painful?
Most patients experience significantly less pain than with traditional surgical methods. Many procedures require little to no anesthesia, and laser treatment typically means less post-operative discomfort as well.
What procedures can be performed with laser treatment?
Our Fotona LightWalker MAX supports a wide range of procedures, including gingivectomy and gingivoplasty, frenectomy, biopsies, removal of benign growths like fibromas and papillomas, and implant-related care.
Can laser treatment be used around dental implants?
Yes. Laser treatment can help reduce bacterial load around implants without damaging the titanium, support bone growth and stabilization for peri-implantitis, and allow for faster, cleaner second-stage implant uncovering — often without anesthesia or sutures.
Will I need anesthesia for my laser procedure?
It depends on the procedure. Many laser-assisted treatments require little to no anesthesia, though your surgeon will determine what’s appropriate for your specific treatment during your consultation.
Do you offer any cosmetic laser treatments?
Yes. We offer Liplase, a non-surgical lip enhancement treatment that uses laser energy to stimulate your body’s own collagen production — no filler or neurotoxin involved. Results build gradually over a recommended course of 3–6 sessions and last approximately one year. We also offer a Laser Facial for Active Acne, a full-face treatment that disinfects active acne pustules, followed by a follow-up anti-inflammatory pass to help reduce redness from future breakouts.
